EDUCATION

Wednesday, May 16th

“Could you do just one more thing?” – Lynne Wellish

4:45pm - 6pm

When tasked with events, what client’s question makes you cringe?
What makes your job difficult when dealing with deadlines, timelines, budgets, and resources?
Does someone you know suffer from Champagne Taste with a Beer Budget?
. . . Oh, and could you do just one more thing, for me?

This is “Scope Creep”.  Scope Creep is a term used in Project Management when the scope of your project keeps creeping outward. Without clear goals and objectives, the scope of the project and responsibilities will not be defined and you will not be able to control the extent of your obligations, nor evaluate your success

This presentation will give it’s participants the ability to:

  • Identify the term “Scope Creep” and learn three ways to use it to their advantage
  • Add five new resources to assist them while their “to do” list keeps expanding
  • Triage a request and determine the best plan of action based on the eternal dilemma of quick, cheap, or right.
  • Learn preventive measures to reduce “Scope Creep’s ” occupancy in their planning cycle.

Participants will bring a resource challenge, a time they felt overwhelmed, short staffed, short of resources and short tempered. Together as a group, we will come up with some options and examples to take a load off their shoulders, breathe, and feel as if a weight has been lifted.

This funny, interactive keynote examines the sales challenges your group faces and shows how we can use the New Body Language as the catalyst to make more money in less time. Imagine tripling your bottom-line simply by decoding the “Belly-Button Rule” and mastering the art of 7-Second Fixes. Don’t you deserve to know how to spot micro-expressions so you can overcome silent objections and reach the same levels of success as our clients such as Coca-Cola and Dove Chocolate?

“Re-energize your volunteers to build a great & successful team!” – Lynne Wellish

1:15pm - 2:30pm

“Do you need to re-energize your volunteers?” Members join an organization for various reasons. Capitalize on their enthusiasm when they join. Volunteering is one of the best ways to network. Volunteers are provided an opportunity to meet new members in a structured environment. Despite the benefits, few organizations create volunteer roles that promote new membership or develop communications programs to increase volunteer knowledge of the many opportunities that membership provides as well as expectations.

This presentation will help the attendee determent the best way to recruit volunteers, identify what is going wrong in many volunteer relationships and how to structure and communicate opportunities and feedback that address the core desire to volunteer.

After participating, attendees will be able to:

  • Re-Tool Volunteer Jobs to Aide in Recruitment
  • Understand What your Volunteers Want
  • Build Better Volunteers
  • Lead with Transparency
  • Change your Focus
